Game Show Templates

Another cool thing to do with PowerPoint that our kids love is game show templates. With the use of action buttons and a little creativity, you can turn a quiz review into a fun activity. Mark Damon is the original creator of these fun quizzes and you can find templates on the Internet that you can just download and fill in your questions. However, we took the game a step further by changing the characters and added a game show host to our presentation. Mr. Villannueva's students helped create the game show Hollyweird Squares for his class review for quizzes. Yes, Mr. Vee (as we call him) had to sign a waver form too!!! When you click on the presentation below it will ask if you want to save it or open it. You can just click open it to observe the presentation. It is already coded to open in a new window. Notice the use of the action settings on the game show stage. It is basically the same concept used in the image map that you created in the last activity.

To see the slide that is hyperlinked to Ima B. Utiful, click the link below. Check out the true and false action buttons. Depending on what version of PowerPoint you have installed on your computer you should hear sound files when you click the true and false button. The true button is set to hear just a sound while the false button, which is the correct answer, should play a sound along with hyperlinking to another slide.
