Web Masters/Web Design II
Lesson Plan
Lessons Created by Patricia Janann Nicholson
In Informational Design, you learned how to construct a Web Page using HTML coding. This course will introduce you to web design software that will allow you to create Web Pages in an environment that is phrased as "What you see is what you get." As you begin using this software, your coding skills will begin to take shape. While you will not actually type in the coding, you can insert coding into the HTML editor in Dreamweaver. The foundations to how these software programs are built are directly related to the HTML programming code you now know. Things will begin to make sense as you learn to use these packages, making their usability much easier than someone trying to learn the software without knowing the background of tags used in HTML. You will first learn the Dreamweaver environment by working through my tutorials listed below. While working through the Dreamweaver tutorials, begin the tutorials that deal with Flash and Fireworks, programs that are designed to work intermittently with each other. Once you have actually worked your way through each of these tutorials, you will be assigned a section of the Pahokee Middle Senior High School web site. In order for you to create a publishable page, you must master the software first. The tutorials you will be responsible for, and graded on are listed below. I am always adding to these tutorials, so make sure you check back often. We want our school's web site to be well planned and have a professional designed site layout. This will be a team effort, all of us working together to reach our end result, the best school web site in Palm Beach County.
